Why is it only butchers sell pork pies whereas bakers do not?

I see no difference between other bakery savoury snacks and pork pies.

Or is this only in my village shops?

I know what you mean. Bakers sell sausage rolls, patties etc, but no pork pies.
There must be a reason!
I suspect it is something to do with keeping the fillings cold enough. Not all bakers have a refrigerated cabinet
where we live all the bakers sell pork pies. and in fact, thinking of the three local butchers, none of them sell them. maybe it's a regional thing?
