David Rattray has been murdered at his home in
KwaZulu, South Africa. I suggest that this is the one
man that S. Africa could not afford to lose, as it
confirms his fears that the country is sliding into
Zimbabwean chaos.

Is it too late to award him a posthumous honorary
knighthood ? To my mind, there is no-one more
deserving , or worthy of the title 'Sir'.

They had a feature on this on the news the other day.

It showed some CCTV footage of shootings and it seemed to me people were getting shot for almost no reason at all.

It also showed people being robbed in their car while waiting a traffic lights, with people smashing the glass in the car with a hammer and grabbing goods.

Looked almost like anarchy on the streets.

They interviewed a few black politicians who did not see it as a problem, maybe because most of the people doing the crimes were black.

And the football world cup is suppsoed to be there in 2018.
I've worked with a lot of white South Africans and every single one states that they no longer feel safe in their own country. The amount of violent robberies, rapes and murders they say are horrific, and appears to have some racist element to it. The downside of the end of Apartheid. Very tragic.
Goes to prove the point, if it's working don't try to fix it. Do we never learn?

Their.....own....country....?

Guess what's funny about that statement.

Go on...see if you can see what it is.
Isn't the country in which you were born and raised classed as your.....own.....country.....?

I wish that sentiment was applied across the board.
Actually, it was wrong of me to bring this up on this thread. Its just beginning to bug me that so many people have this 'send them home' mentality when it comes to the children of immigrants here, but completely reverse their opinion when it comes to European settlers in Africa, Australia etc.

I withdraw my statement.
its bad --- but some city areas of the UK are not far behind
