Christmas card nostalgia!

Anyone remember the scented/ glittery Christmas cards you could once get hold of? Also there use to be Christmas cards with a Christmas carol printed inside once you unfolded them completely.

Hi Boo - Well, I'm 48 I seem to remember my mum recieving them when I was younger. The perfumed ones always reminded me of Johnston's baby powder!

oh ....I was interested like boo but johnsons baby power I hate that stuff because Im one of those I hate babies Im nevergoing to have one - kind of person.

when i was a kid we used to make our own, either by painting or drawing, picture of snowmen angels or santa. then when dry we'd sprinkle them with glitter, we would write our own little verses inside, we had great fun doing it, oh those good old days, lol.

Yes, I remember them, associate them with my grandparents and great aunts mainly. Have to admit that I`m now officially a senior citizen, just, so that gives you some idea of when they were popular! The smell I recall seemed to be sort of sweet, like those violet sweets that were around then too. A bit cloying after a while.
