How long is it safe to leave cooked pasta in the fridge before using it for a dish? I was just going to add some leftover macaroni to a soup to bulk it out but its been in the fridge for a couple of days.... thanks X

All you'll ever need to know about keeping pasta can be found here
I wouldn't leave it more than 24 hours maximum.

Wow, thanks for that link.... I've saved it in my food file.... I didn't realise you could leave pasta in the fridge for 5 days! Thanks again. X
I would smell it first - but if it smelled ok and if it had been in the fridge the whole time - I would eat it after 2 or 3 days.
itll still be ok at 5 days, although you have to cover it well and make sure you drain all of the water possible off of it.. otherwise it goes soggy and horrible

more or less anything should be ok for up to 3 days, and things without meat fish or rice are normally good for 4 or 5 days
