Ginger Parkin.....2ozs soft marg,5ozs caster sugar, 1 egg beaten,2 tablesp golden syrup,2 teasp ground ginger,9ozs sr flour, 7fluid ozs whole milk. Beat these together well. Put 1 level teasp bicarb of soda in a little boiling water and add to mixture. This makes a 9inch square tin. Bake at 180c for 45-50 mins.
