Which vegetables are in season now? What are the best buys for flavour and versatility?

This time of year is absolutely best for peas. Shell your own and they are superb. Also I bought some lovely courgettes and broad beans yesterday. Lots of flavour. Spinach and broccoli are good at this time of the year as are aubergines and Spanish red onions.
