Perhaps you could stand bottles or similar in a bucket of cold water or, if you have any outdoor space, put items out of doors - but in air tight / animal safe container. How tedious for you! : )
Can you rent one for a week - or do you have a friend, relative or neighbor who would let you keep your things in their fridge?
i sympathise ,mine died on me in july .remember how hot it was back then ??it was a nightmare and made me wonder just what people did before they had fridges ???

thanks to all who replied, yes i wondered how people survived without them - i am using a couple of ice packs around the milk! and of course am glad that its not the middle of summer - i dont really have anyone to ask if i can use their fridge, but renting, hadnt thought of that one -
if you don't already, you should move up here to Scotland (ha ha), it was 3 degrees this morning at 6.15am...
I had left a bottle of water in my car last night and it was really cold this morning - no need for a fridge really...
