I like the taste of it, but I don't feel any different when I've drunk it compared to when I haven't. Why?

Do you drink a lot of caffiene anyway? i.e. coffee, tea
Question Author
About 4 cups of coffee a day
Maybe your tolerence to caffeine is quite high now? Try cutting down on your coffee and save the caffeine high for when you really need it.

I can't get by without me cups of coffee! :o)
Have you tried guarana http://www.guarana.com/ ?

You can get it in snack bars, drinks - I usually try capsules.
Works for me - and you don't get that 'wired' feeling you usually associate with too much caffeine.
Question Author
No, I haven't.
Question Author
Where do you get your capsules from?
Holland & Barratt

Thanks
You're welcome : )
To be honest, Red Bull doesn't do a lot for me whereas Tesco's own brand equivalent (Kick) has a pronounced effect at a fraction of the price.
Question Author
I've tried both and had the same (non) effect.
I thought the supposed stimulant in Red Bull was something other than caffeine.

What I do know is that it stinks. One person on the bus opens a can, and the entire bus reeks of Red s*dding Bull.
Yes, I think it's called taurine (hence it's name - bull)
That's right - it's an extract from bull's bile, I think - which would perhaps help to explain the slightly pukey undertone to the stench of red bull.
Question Author
Yeah, my mate says it smells like baby sick! :o)
No! Taurine - Taurus !
