I loved Ringos.
OOOh Ringos YES! Can you still buy them? Oh and the tomato puffs - they were lovely. My favourites were Golden Wonder Ready Salted and best of all Smith's Bovril!

fish n'chip flavoured! They were THE best ever!
They are different WW, they used to be that smooth to the touch texture, that melted on your tongue, now they have the consistency of 'chipsticks'............did that make sense?

Ooooo yeah, fish & chips, can you still buy those? Remember they were smallish packets and were made to look like newspaper.

Defo the fish & chips, and the chicken & chips, but I also loved the puffs in the cheese and tomato flavour!!
Fangs and Bones, Bones were the best!

And also Nisbets i think they were called, a bit like quavers but ready salted flavour.

I remember some things called Wheelz as well, they were nice.

Youve just jogged my memory , the ist question i asked on AB was "where can i buy potatoe puffs", my all time favourite, dont think they are made now :(
Quavers and Monster Munch
When I was a kid you had two choices - plain potato flavour or go without!
My favourite crisps were prawn cocktail flavour and they looked like little tiny shreddie bitesize. They were really crucnhy and melted in the mouth crunchin at the same t.ime they had a sort of pleated look to them but it has bugged me for years as I cannot remember their name

it wasnt those scampie and lemon fries was it? they looked a bit like that and made you smell of them for ages after. they used to be most popular behind bars with the bacon fries.
OMG aurelia I remember those prawn cocktail baskety thingys, I loved them. It's doing my head in now trying to think of what they were called or who made them grrr! Alas my mind is a blank. I will keep trying to find out though lol.

I also remember long, thin, maize type crisps called Savoury Straws. They came in 2 flavours (I think) - Cheese and Spicy Tomato.

Do they ring a bell with anyone? Anyone who was at secondary school during the 80's? With a resident ice cream van at the school gates?

No?

Just me then. =0/
I loved the beef flavour potato puffs, Ringos, Frazzles (looked like strips of bacon), fish n chips and Space Raiders.
I've recently had cravings for things like Chipsticks and salt n shake - proper old school crisps!!
Roast Chicken and Smokey Bacon Smax, Fish 'n' Chips, Phileas Fogg Pastrami Bagels and Bacon and Bean Piglets.....mmmmm!
