What has happened to Spira chocolate bars? They were soooo tasty! (especially when you sucked your tea up through them!) Twirls just aren't the same :o(

Enigma - you are a big shining *star*!! Thank you so much - you wouldn't believe how long I've been looking for the little blighters and how many shops I've been into! I've even had family members on the hunt for them too! I'm off now to place a bulk order for the tasty treats right now (and get the kettle on to make a lovely brew!) Mmmmmmmmmm!! :o)

Noooooooo!! I have just been on the sweetie site and it wont let me add the Spiras to the basket! I have also gone through the chocolate menu and there are no signs of Spiras in the list. It doesn't look as if they sell them anymore. :o( Damn them!! (shaking fist!)
punch a hole through a twirl
I'm sorry bug , I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it's discontinued i'm afraid. I didn't realise that you couldn't get them online anymore or I wouldn't have posted that link. (Sorry) That's where I usually go to when I can't find something in the shops.

I found a page from ebay where someone put out an appeal for some but got no replies. Unfortunately , as you will see , it mentions that it has been discontinued but the ones still in circulation will have a sell by date until the end of the year. I haven't seen then anywhere at all to be honest but I will make a point of looking now and if I see them anywhere , I will come straight back here to update you.

Why don't you fire off a nice little email to Cadbury's and plead your case. They may send you some as a goodwill gesture or give you the bog standard reply about high production costs , low interest in the product , not cost effective , plenty more new exciting products to try blah de blah , pah ! It's always the same with your favourite eh ? They reel you in , tempting you with their choccy wares , get you hooked then snatch it back. Oh the cruelty lol ! Sorry I couldn't be more help and good luck finding some x

Thanks again enigma! You deserve more than 3 stars for all your help!! I guess the delicious Spira's will just have to remain a tasty memory! :o)
You are very welcome bug. Shame I couldn't help you track down your fave choccy. It's a bummer when they recall it isn't it ? Don't give up hope though , as I said , they are still dated until the end of the year so some shop somewhere must have them. Unfortunately that could be anywhere. If I find any shop selling them I will of course report back to let you know. I would still fire an email off to Cadbury's to put your case across to them. You could maybe even start an online petition to bring it back. If there is enough interest in the product they may bring it back. It has happened before. The company just need to be convinced that there is a market for the product - bearing in mind that this is what probably partly led to it's demise , poor sales not to mention demand for new products. Something's got to give and unfortunately it was Spira in this case. If you want it badly though , fight for it. Good luck xxx
got facebook?? join the official campaign here and bring back spira's!!!! :D
