How can I make cider on a small scale ? My dad has a great little orchard. I saw some (total drunkards) using an antique cider press on 'River Cottage' - looked like a great crack. We can't afford loads of gear...

Cider is quite difficult to make and you will need a mixture of apples. It would not be easy to explain it here so I would suggest that you call in your local library a check out some recipes there.
