Hi all
I have a veggie delivery every week, this week's has a big old kohlrabi in it.
Any suggestions on what to do with it? Cooked or raw, I'd be grateful for advice.
Thanks.

Thanks for the link btw.
I love kohl rabi. Eaten finely chopped like matchsticks in a salad it has a very delicate taste and I often use it like this as part of a home-made coleslaw mixture. It's also delightful as part of a vegetable stir fry..

If it's looking a bit old and tired, soak it in cold water for several hours to freshen it up.. I often use this method for reviving vegetables and it works quite successfully.
I love kohlrabi ...delicious grated into salads ,you can cut it up into chunks and add it to stews and casseroles, boil it with potatoes as mash ,plenty of butter and pepper ...you can cut it into strips and pickle it .Shove it in with other veg and roast in the oven.
It makes a great coleslaw. Rick Stein had a recipe on one of his programmes where you grate it with carrot and use a sesame oil and cumin dressing: I tried making it and it was yum.
