Does anyone else think these are excellent tasting and great value for money. I don't normally like frozen chips but I really like these. Has anyone else found any economy foods that are good and could recommend them. I look forward to hearing from you.

I don't really like chips but they must be good because the chippy near my mum uses them! I saw him in Tesco's with his trolley completely stacked with Value frozen chips! Then he'll sell them on at 1.50 a portion..... cheeky git.......!

People don't tend to buy them because chip pans are so dangerous compared with bunging a load in the oven! Not many people rely on a deep fat fryer anymore. I try the value ranges from time to time but unfortuately I seem to find they are just that! Even the Tesco value clingfilm does not cling!! However the foil is perfectly good!
I dont have a fryer anymore, but when I did I used Tesco value chips, they are really good!
I always buy supermarkets "cheap" tins of kidney beans. If you read the labels the ingredients are identical to the more expensive brands.
I havent used the tesco ones myself , but I do disagree with Scarlett , a lot of ppl hate oven chips and deep fry there chips , I honestly dont know a single peson who would rather eat an oven chip that a fried one .
Its like cotton wool versus chocolate.
btw ...lidl do really good frozen chips , you get a huge bag for are 80.

Blyss, I hope you you have got your sums wrong and that lidl don't charge 80 for a bag of frozen chips no matter how huge the bag is. I will, on your recommendation, be trying lidl's frozen chips next time I shop there. XX :-)
hahaha oops sorry kitty {red face} I meant roughly about 80p.
They are deffinately worth a try .
There is no such thing as good quality economy food.If you but cheao you get cheap. Those potatoes have probobly has 1000 sprays on them and have half the taste of good potatoes.

sexyrussian, I have given you 3 stars for your reply as I do agree with you that you get what you pay for but on the other hand I know that some manufacturers make well known brands as well as the economy brands and they are all the same product but just in a different wrapping. I used to work for united biscuits and they used the same biscuits but just changed the wrapping. I know this doesn't apply to all manufacturers but it does to most of them.
