Hello ! I'm not the best in the kitchen department, and have a simple question for you! I made some bolognaise sauce on tuesday night, and stored the leftover in a tupperware box in the fridge. Is is ok to eat it tonight or will it have gone bad ? Thanks !

PS : while I'm at it, I have another question...I put a container in the oven last night ( it said on the box oven cook in container, might go soft but will harden again once cool). Well, to cut it short, the plastic melted and stuck to the bottom of the oven. I tried to scrape some of it off, but there is some left. Will Mr Muscle oven thingy take it off, or can I expect some weird chemical reaction with the plastic ?? Thanks guys...!

Re. the bolognaise - should eb absolutely fine, no problem, enjoy it. Just make sure you only re-heat it this once - anything left after that, ditch it.

For the meolted plastic, why not switch your oven on low, and as soon as the plastic re-melts, scrape it off with a suitable metal utensil - old knife or something should do the trick. Any bits that simply won;t come off, leave to cool, and then attack with your Mr. Muscle.(oo-er - the cleaner that is!)

I always make extra bolognaise sauce.Yummy poured over a jacket potato...........

Good luck with scraping the plastic off your oven!

Thanks you for your quick answers ! I shall try your advice tonight and try to get that plastic off my oven...although I don't much trust myself with sharp metal instruments...he he ! Think I might go for a flat wooden spoon. Thanks again ! Oh, and I'll enjoy my bolognaise too...mmmm...

Andy : wish I had a real Mr Muscle to do those kind of jobs...*sigh*

Well, I'm a bit busy but .....
I love the bolognaise cold the next day.....try it in a sandwich....delicious

Yes, I had it on toast yesterday, with cheese on top ! I couldn't bothered to cook pasta, but was pleasantly surprised ! Yum !
For God's sake! It is called Bolognese not Bolognaise. It is Italian not French.

Well, thank you for your input Rogerthomas. The Bolognese may not be french, but I am, hence the spelling mistake. Apologies to radical pasta sauce lovers.

roger please get a life. If it's cooked in the UK it is neither French or Italian. I have my own favourite recipe but I appreciate that others have different ones.

I think its best to scrape it off whist cool, if it melts you will end up with a bigger mess.

Thank you Gef ! I haven't got round to "attacking" the oven yet, but shall try your suggestion first.
Gef. I have a life and it's obviously infinitely more interesting than yours. As for Bolognese cooked in the UK not being Italian, if a cow is born in a stable it doesn't mean its a horse!
