Ok, ok, I need help quickly!

I've suddenly found myself in the position of having to cook for 6-8 blokes on a regular basis. I can do the odd curry and spag bol, but i want to vary the menu as much as possible. Tomorrow I'm going to buy a book, but which one would ABers recommend? I need one with lots of good advice on how to cook basic recipes as well as some a little more adventurous, sort of a jack of all trades. I'll probably take the one with the most votes so.... On your marks, get set.... GO!!!

I have her complete cookery course from the first time around and its my most used book

I use the BBC website a lot, have Rosemary Conley recipe books which are surprisingly good but love love love River Cottage Family cook book, I don't use it personally but know lots of people who do and as soon as I have my own kitchen (house share/ in laws at the moment) I am going to magic myself into Hugh Fernley - Whittingwhatisname.
Or ask people to post recipes on here for you, I always see really good ones on here.

gazzawazza you can't go wrong with Mary Berry's Cookbook. It is full of lovely pics, easy-to-follow recipes and the contents to each section is done in photos. Each recipe states how long it might take to make and there are traditional as well as more adventurous recipes. A very easy to use cookbook.

Ainsley Harriet's meals in minutes. Brilliant
Roast Chicken and Other Stories by Simon Hopkinson was voted the best cookery book by a panel of top chefs. I can vouch for it, it's excellent. Also, the Harvey Nichols - Fifth Floor Cookbook is quite good.
