Electric Frying Pan

Does anyone know where in the UK I can purchase an electric frying pan (sometimes known as a skillet). I have had one for years that I use all the time and now it's broken and I can't buy them anymore. It's about 30cm square with a clear high dome lid. Even ebay doesn't have any!

Hi - yes this may do - just a little concerned as it doesn't look like it has a stand or feet like my current one so wondered if I'd be able to put it on my worktop - plus it's not non-stick and looks quite shallow. Guess I'm being very fussy and looking for one just like the one I had! Thank you so much you your help and the others answerers too. May well go for this one on ebay.
Hi. I'm looking for one too! The closest I've found in the UK so far is the Prestige Multicooker. It is non-stick but shallower than the Pineware brand I'm familiar with that is sold in South Africa. It also does not have a steam vent and has a round base attached instead of 4 legs. (The base makes it seem rather awkward to wash although the pan can be immersed in water.) Just thought you might like to know.
Hi Perel - yes I did find the Prestige one having found the 'keyword' to search for is 'Multicooker'. It looks quite like the Sunbeam one I've had but hasn't got a clear plastic lid like mine had. I've now found some by Palson - Evelyn and Petit Courmet but am trying to find the difference and how deep they are but am getting evasive non-answers from the sellers so far. The search for the ultimate one goes on. There's zillions in the US but the electric won't work! Can't understand why no one has these in the UK - they're as essential as my fridge!!! But then few have electic kettles in the US which I always thought was most odd! Thanks for your help. Jody
I've got one! After more clues from helpful answers and mroe searching on the Internet I found just what I was looking for, And what is more I only ordered it via Freephone yesterday after noon and it was here by courier at five to nine this morning. How are you finding yours? I'm not not so pleased with mine! It's proving far too big so hard to store and to fill with food. But the worse thing it that I've found it's either off or on - there's no medium heat or high or low. Setting it to 2 on the dial merely means it comes one less frequently than say setting it to 8. So food tend to burn and then just sits there doing nothing. So I'm still looking ofr the ideal one! Would be interested to know if you've found the same?

I am surprised no one has mentioned the AWT Gourmet meal maker (not the slow cooker). It is an excellent multi purpose electric cooker with glass lid, adjustable thermostat, non stick, dishwasher safe etc. I have used one for a couple of years and most people who see it want one straight away. It is big enough to do paella for six to eight people but just as easily we do bacon & eggs for one. They are frequently out of stock but do reappear in the AWT shop online every now and then.
HI Mr P - this Breville Gourmet Meal Maker is EXACTLY (visually) the thing I was looking ofr to replace my the one I had! My only question is does it have a heat control that works on all settings unlike this Palson Evelyn Multicooker I bought in the meantime which is hopeless! It's either on or off!
Hi Jodys - did you make any more progress with a decent electric frying pan? I'm looking for one also and would like another sunbeam (like the old one I had). I have emailed Sunbeam Australia (the company is based there and are still going strong it would appear) to see if they have stockists in the UK.
Hiya I also had a sunbeam and mine is getting very worn out now and I just started looking for replacement to find they no longer exsist wah! I use mine daily to cook everything it's fantastic and the best is the varying temperatures! The breville prestige looks anout as close as I can find but I'd love a Sunbeam if anyone knows if you can now get them??
I found the best way to get a Sunbeam or Breville Electric Frypan is find someone who is visiting Australia or New Zealand and get them to bring one back or if you have a relative over there to send you one. Its really annoying that noone in the UK or Europe stock either brand as they are the most useful piece of kitchen equipment around.
I tried a Palson but after 4 months the element blew, they are cheap but dont last as long as the Australian brands.
If anyone finds a local stockist in the UK I am sure there will be lots of buyers who want to know where to get them.
