does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

Gosh woofy that's not good. Your poor doggies! Why cant neighbours be nice people?
Well Mr N 's clackers! What can I say? Huge great planks of wood hinged together and two brass door knobs for me to hold ! If I'm not careful I'll give myself a mammogram!! Well not planks exactly but I was expecting a twirly football thingy! Mind you they do make a helluva noise!!
Watch you don't do yourself a mischief with that Neti.
They'll be able to hear you in Majorca by the sound of it!
Oh that's not on Woofy.I hope you can sort it out.
What's the matter with Shughy's ear? Have you tried that Thornit powder.I used that for Shaney when he had a manky, smelly ear infection. It cost me mega money at the vets for stuff I had to squirt down his ear which did no good at all.The powder cleared it up in no time.
It's been a lovely day here, but on the cold side.
Robinia ,I'll get Mr S onto it right away. Something else to add to his portfolio :)
Hope you're all well and safe.
Morning campers from a dull and cold Derbyshire. Our virus numbers are rising quite fast for the county, but not so many in the city area these past couple of days. I'm doing a Mr Tidytins and keeping a spreadsheet.

Hope Shughy's ear heals woofy. My immediate neighbours are fair to very good but I did have to have a word with someone in the area. Others had complained but none would quietly confront the people concerned, the men round here are wimps. He visibly shrank before my eyes and the problem was sorted that same afternoon. :)

Neti couldn't you just slap your bare thigh on your good side?
"Mr N's clackers..." lol!

better day today thanks. Vet was lovely and helpful on the phone, neighbours now seem to be making an effort. Shughy's ear is responding to treatment and he stole my coffee this morning which is always a good sign. My sis was really lovely and patient with me.

Oh PS council lady was very kind and helpful too. She has logged my complaint.
another day that started out sunny, then stopped and is now quite chilly. Even in winter I wouldn't be wearing two layers of ski socks until evening, now it's mid afternoon. Probably connected with total lack of exercise, I expect; I haven't broken sweat since September. I've been no further than the front door today, to take in Amazon Prime boxes for a couple of people upstairs I've never heard of. I don't know where the official tenants have got to but if they're still there, there must be five or six people in a modest-sized flat.

If that's so I wish they'd come downstairs and get their own mail.
Well a lot of us in Ibiza are suffering from headaches and strange feelings in the bodies. I only have a slight headache. Even friends in London and bedfordshire are also reporting this malaise
Weirder and weirder. How any if you? I very rarely get headaches! I do walk around the land and get a bit of exercise and fresh air.
strange feelings in the bodies?

Well yes jno some are reporting buzzing from their iphones, others a tingling in their legs and all sorts. I'm just happy to have the headache!!
I hear singing and there's no one there
I smell blossoms and the trees are bare
All day long I seem to walk on air
I wonder why, I wonder why
I keep tossing in my sleep at night
And what's more I've lost my appetite
Stars that used to twinkle in the skies
Are twinkling in my eyes I wonder why

To relieve that pleasant ache
You're not sick, you're just in love
That is strange Neti .I've got a touch of TATT ,tired all the time and I don't really know why.
I don't go out much normally anyway so it can't be the fact I'm not going out but I have been out in the garden if only to stand and stare and get fresh air or peg out.
Could be gloomy information overload which is very wearying and upsetting to read about and listen to at times plus it was dreary weather today after all that lovely sunshine.
Supposed to brighten up again though and they say it could be quite warm come the weekend.
Hope you're all safe and as well as. Glad to hear the woofer is on the mend Woofy.
Sleep tight.Night all.

Morning all...oh dear are we sliding? (with the exception of jno who's gone all gooey) My mood plummeted yesterday, I suddenly felt very disorientated and anxious. I think your explanation is spot on shaney "Could be gloomy information overload which is very wearying and upsetting to read about and listen to at times plus it was dreary weather today after all that lovely sunshine"
I really need a warm spell so I can go out in the garden and clear my head. Chin up all.
My notice, slightly amended....

I think it is the continuous news and the way that its presented in some places...turning a crisis into a drama. I happened to catch the beginning of the ITV news last night and actually swore at the bloke presenting. I limit my news to the daily briefing and the run up to it. As I said elsewhere I think a lot of the "personal" reporting by individuals is their truth in that its how it feels to them but its not THE truth of how things factually are. Jenny Harries picked up on it over the PPE issue when she said that an aspect of the problem that they hadn't addressed was how people feel and that varying kinds of PPE were appropriate for various circumstances. I would never want to stifle people but its quite difficult when anyone can upload a video saying anything.
I dont watch much news. I'm just staying calm and out of the way. I doze a bit more but that's ok. I always drop off in the evening when watching tv and miss the good bits! Mr N did more food shopping and we have more than enough to last.
Over here people are saying all these ailments are down to chakras and this and that. I'm not a great believer! It's too much tv for me I think!
I don't watch any TV news, but then I seldom ever did. I used to read the papers but when the newsagent stopped delivering (because kids don't want to do that sort of thing any more) I just read online instead, and I can just switch off when I choose.

But I don't mind "alarmist" reporting in general - a lot of it is aimed at the government as much as the general audience, because they're always saying things like "Oh, we didn't get the email." If it's true that only 2000 NHS staff have been tested, as it seems to be, that's really shocking and does need publicising.

I have just got back from oldies hour at Waitrose, and was deeply disappointed that nobody asked for my ID. There were lots of loo rolls but no bleach; but I suppose that could happen at any time.
I've just been emailed some lovely photos of wildlife on the Galapagos from a friend who recently returned from a cruise. It was on the Zaandam, the one that is now a ship of lost souls roaming the seven seas with dead bodies because no port will take her. My friend must have been on the cruise just before that. Lucky lady!
Very lucky lady indeed.
I think the ship is now been given permission to dock in Florida according to my newsfeed.
I now have a new husband.Mr S has shaved his beard off as he can't go to the barbers.I've ordered some clippers for his hair.If you hear screams coming from an easterly direction you'll know I've messed it up.
I just knew Robinia would shoehorn Clive in somewhere :)
This might be a good time to watch Greenfingers again.
Hope you're all safe and well.
excitement here, a neighbour took a photo on her camera of a bird hovering overhead. It's a bit blurry but appears to be a bald eagle, very much like this - black body and wings, white head, feathers splayed out at the wingtips. Maybe it's flown here from Washington to steal virus test kits.

I hope it doesn't poop on us from a great height, Jno.
Well,I've finished my Speccie crossword at last and managed to supply an answer for someone else so I'm off to bed.
Night all,sleep tight.
