does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

glad rto see you back
My boudoir is coffee and cream.Mostly cream with one coffee wall so it doesn't show if I spill my tea and you can't see the biscuit crumbs on the rugs:)
I don't know where the storm has got to.It's getting a bit blowy out there but dry atm. No doubt it'll arrive here sooner or later, hope there's no flooding. The tides are high this time of the year.
Keep safe and night all.
Morning all...well the storm has got to here...at least the wind has, it's wild out there. Along with a full moon I am very close to erupting.
Do I want to join nextdoor.co.uk?....NO, I don't. I already seem to have to take responsibility for neighbourhood stuff. I often think I must be the only person with a modicum of common sense....grrrr.
Sorry, rant over.
Amen and out.
:)

wet and noisy here although not as wet as forecast. The dogs are fine so long as I don't wander off and do things so I'm not
It's grim out there.Blowing like hell and raining.Power cuts in town but we seem to have escaped. It's so noisy and every little bang makes me jump.Stormy weather like this makes me agitated.
I got up late and considered a dressing gown day but went and got washed and dressed. I said to Mr S that I didn't want to get into bad habits and he just laughed and said that I have enough bad habits already and one more wouldn't any difference.Cheeky b.
I used to use the other one ,I think it was Streetlife or something. It was quite useful for local stuff but I ditched it when they sold out to next door. They wanted too much personal info.
Hope the storm soon abates.KBO.
very blustery here but not too wet. A garden chair has been blown over. Fortunately we did our panic shopping last week. I just hope mobs of ravenous survivors don't break into the garden shed and steal it all.
Hello am on tablet as have to chase all around the internet to get here on phone!
Lots of singing and drinking and the odd hopping to music day here was lovely and warm. We came home at 5pm as I had had enough and could hardly walk uphill to home.
Hope you are all safe, still remember our 4 day storm not so long ago.
I'm quite liking dressing gown days at home now!
Am tucked up in my bed with tv.
just to clarify, it wasn't the drink that made it difficult to walk uphill, I was just so tired!

still hooleying here but the rain has stopped
Good day and it's a bright, breezy, sunny, headache free day. I am having a day at home for a change! (But not in my pjs or dressing gown!) Have a stew in slowcooker, change d the King size bedding which is now getting so difficult for me with the duvet cover, but yet again I have succeeded! All now wafting in the breeze on the line.

not a great day. Plumber turned up said he had fixed the leak but he hadn't, then when he left he drove across my neighbour's (lives opposite) front lawn and left a six foot ish deep tyre mark on it. Fortunately my neighbour and I get on ok and while he is cross he is not cross with me. Have arranged for a different plumber to come back and explained why and have put in a formal complaint. nothing is easy is it?
it was fine for a while today but strated raining and blowing as soon as I went out, and again when I came home.

well someone has their eye on you Jno!
Evening all
Still very blustery here.It was a lovely bright morning and then it came over dark and rainy and about five we had a terrific hailstorm.
It was bouncing down the chimneys and a complete white out for a while. It's turned very cold too.
That's very annoying Woofy.Hope you soon get it sorted.
Same old otherwise. Night all.
My lovely 92 y.o. ibicenco neighbour died this morning. She was really such a lovely soul. When I first came here she rarely spoke Spanish just her local dialect but always made the effort with me. She was so kind and accepting of we foreigners with our mini skirts and strange habits. She still wore the long dress and headscarf. She had dementia and wouldn't get out of bed for the last month. She didn't recognise her daughter which was heart breaking. Apart from that it's been a nice day!
every time I think the winds have calmed down they pick up again, an icy with it. I made it all the waqy to the dentist without being hit by a tree, but the dentist says two teeth will have to come out sometime. He's given me some antibiotics to get me through jno jnr's nuptials, though. Last time he married I had a gap on my gums but hopefully not this time.
That's sad for you Neti ,she sounds like a real character.
Still very windy here, everything banging and rattling and really icy cold with the chill factor. Not that I go out in it but my butler does.
We can't have any gaps on wedding pics Jno. When my brother got married I was a bridesmaid and missing my top two front teeth.Mum said to smile with my mouth shut when they took the pictures but there I am grinning away.Well, the photographer did say ,say cheese:)
Hope you're all ok .Keep warm.
Oh nuptials? When is this happening jno?
Local fiesta here today but Mr N has gone to work so it will be a normal day. Have to check when the funeral is as usually its 24 hrs after the death.
