Put a banana in the freezer.... don't defrost before eating - it's just like ice-cream and great if you are on a diet.
These are easy to make
Frozen Orange Yoghurt
Makes 600ml; serves 4

450g tub natural yoghurt
325g jar orange curd
grated zest of 1 orange

1. Simply whisk the yoghurt, curd and zest together until well blended and freeze in a plastic container.
2. Take out and soften before serving.

Variations
Use lemon or lime curd instead of the orange.

Mascarpone Mocha Ice-cream
Makes about 600ml; serves 4

250g tub mascarpone (soft Italian cream cheese)
284ml tub double cream
2 tbsp finely ground dark roast coffee
4 tbsp icing sugar

1. Combine the mascarpone and cream and whisk until just blended.
2. Whisk in the coffee and sugar and freeze in a plastic container.
3. Allow to soften before serving.
Enjoy!

Whisk a tin of evaporated milk till its really thick and creamy. Mix in 4oz sugar (thats been powdered in a coffee grinder) and a few drops of vanilla essence. Then freeze.
For chocolate or coffee, add some cocoa or cofffee granules to the sugar before grinding.
It's not your Hagen-Daas type of ice cream, but its quick and easy and has always been popular in my house!
puzzled54, that sounds like a great idea. How big a tin of evap milk please?
Normal size, 410 gram - but don't try the low fat variety, it doesn't whisk up properly.
