Toad in the Hole?

I have frozen Pork & Beef sausages & a pack of batter mix, do I literally just make up the batter mix, put the sausages in it and put it in the oven? Seems a bit too simple!

I usually half cook the sausages first then add the batter for the last 20 mins or so.

Thanks! That's what I thought, otherwise I'd have nice crisp batter but half cooked sausages
I suggest you defrost the sausages first.You can put it all in together but you need to have a dish with hot oil in before you add batter/sausages to it.It should sizzle as you add to hot oil.I always chop my sausage into chunks before adding.Haven't made that for ages,feeling hungry now! Hope you enjoy your meal.
Don't forget the onion gravy!!
Batter mix????? - just add eggs and milk??? - why not make your own - its only flour and salt
