Hi Bobbi, hope you had a great holiday.

Not this coming week, I have my first replacement a week tomorrow, (25th Sept).

Have had my pre-op, so I'm all ready to go. :-(

Just to let you know, I won't be in contact with anyone while I'm in there as I don't have a smartphone or tablet etc., but when I am home, as Arnie says, 'I'll be back'. xx

Good luck Barsel. I’m sure it will go very well. A lady I knew was walking about after one or two days after her replacement.

Been thinking about you , I hope all goes well on the 25th and soon you'll be back amongst us, my sil has hers done on the 21st, she's 85 on Tuesday  and has also had her bloods etc taken

two nice ladies with two nice new knees...purrrfect❤️

Thanks David.

Thanks Bobbi, I'm dreading it really. I can't believe how many times people have told me how painful it is!

I hope your s-i-l is ok after her op. I've been told they get you up straight away and you have to be on the move most of the time. Mmmm that should be fun, not!

I also hope it goes ok as I've to have the other one done at a later date, and no, I won't be entering the Manchester marathon. 😀 Still, this time next year ........

You'll soon be  doing 'Hands, knees and bumpsy daisy.'

Yes Tilly, I'll invite my rather good-looking surgeon to play that with me.😀

This is my sil 's second one Barsel , the first gave her ,her life back for a few years

You do that, Barsel. See what he says.

That's good to know Bobbi.

I only want to hear about successful ops and I'm determined to do whatever it takes to get myself mobile again.

If the surgeon turns me down, there might be a nice male physio who might have a dance with me.

What am I like?

on from Bobbi  ...

Hope all goes well, Barsel xx

Bless my sil, we climbed many steps on our mountain retreat, she never complained once , mind you she's 85 but looks 65

Thanks for that Haz, that bloke made me laugh.

Well, Bobbi, you know I'm only 6 days older than you, but how I envy the way you can go places, and you look younger than me as well! Barsel is now off to have a tantrum. x

You're very kind but all of us have some attribute ,you come across as having a wicked SofH which people love , I bey you're a great laugh on a night out 😀😀😀

Well, I must admit to having a good SofH but I sometimes say what I think are funny things to the wrong people, so I'd better watch what I say when I'm in the hospital, as I've noticed some doctors can be quite serious. It's probably because of the job they do. Yes, I must remember that.

Haha, you go girl 😜

Hope all goes well, my sister had hers done in June and is working on all cylinders again. Just do the physio and 'listen to your body'.

Hope it goes well and the food is good 🤗

Barsel you'll be fine I've had both mine done now. Yes painful but you just know each day it gets better. Do what you are told to do exercise is key to good recovery. Different life after you have both done. Good luck you will be apprehensive we all are before ops.

For those of you who asked about my op, it's been cancelled.

Had a phone call this morning to say the pre-op I had a week ago shows a UTI so have been prescribed antibiotics and the op has been cancelled due to infection.

Oh, I'm so sorry, what a disappointment for you. Have they given a new date for surgery ?
