I have lost a family recipe for cookies that I love and I am hoping someone might know what I am talking about. I call them Noel Balls but they might be know as butter balls. They are made with flour, walnuts or pecans, crisco or butter, vanilla and powdered sugar. You mix everything together and roll it in balls and then bake them and then roll them in the sugar. I need the measurments of everything! Can anyone help?

I am also missing a recipe for what I call choclate peanut butter log. It's made with grahm crackers. You slice the log and dip the slices in chocolate.

NOEL NUT BALLS:
2 cups Crisco Cookie Mix
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
1 tbsp. orange juice
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup chopped nuts

Blend well. Dough is somewhat crumbly. Mold into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, 1 inch apart.

Bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Roll in confectioners' sugar while hot. Makes 3 dozen.
Ingredients

* 1 pound graham crackers
* 1 1/2 pound peanut butter
* 1 pound powdered sugar
* 2 tablespoons Butter, softened

Directions:

Break crackers into large pieces in bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Beat 5 minutes. Form into 3"diameter log. Roll in chopped nuts or powdered sugar. Chill, slice into 3/8" thick slices.
Don't know if these are any help to you.
They sound like American recipes to me.
