Is it safe to freeze frankfurters ? I love them but they are in tins or jars of six or eight and I cannot eat that many !

Yes use within 3 months. Applies to tinned or vacuum packed ones
Yes - We like sausage rolls made out of them so I will make the sausage rolls using frankfurters and then freeze them. I would bring them to a boil in a pan then cool quickly and freeze. Perfectly safe and when you come to use them, just put them into boiling water from frozen.
I buy mine in a pack, and they freeze well. Similar to the link

I have never tried with the ones in jars or tins
