It isn't a USA thing no one has a clue what it is in the US unless they google it. Blake has probably read of it when I made mention of it on a thread this morning. I am more amazed that a 14 boy from the USA is going to make a steamed suet pudding with currants in it -I know for a fact it's really hard to get suet in America, they never use it.
I just have this weird image in my head of a handful of prepubescent boys in the their moms basement having a big laugh

I'm hungry now but will probably have to wait until after 8pm to have dinner. OH is supposed to be doing the grocery shopping then making rib eye steak, chips, mushrooms, onion rings and salad -he's not even back from work yet so I think I may have to go make some cheese on toast to keep me going.
If I'm hungry it has to be savoury. Cheese on toast or oat biscuits with Marmite and a chunk of Cheddar.
For those who live in the USA and want to make a suet based dish, freeze butter or a hard baking fat, not the soft whipped kind, and quickly grate it and toss it in a little flour. Freeze again before use or freeze it and store it.
Yes please. I haven’t had spotted dick for years. Extra custard please.
