I am desperately searching everywhere for some food ads from the 50's to analyze the language change within the slogans. Could anybody please help me and offer me some references?

You could try writing to either the Marketing Manager or Consumer Services Manager of the major food companies. A lot of them probably keep archives of their old advertisement and they may be able to send you copeies, especially if you're working on some kind of professional project. Also I wonder if any of the major museums could help you. Some of them might have samples of the kind of material you are seeking.
Most libraries will have several books on the history of advertising so you should be able to find something suitable.

There are lots of shops around the country which sell old magazines. If you happen to live near Buckinghamshire (or if you travel up and down the M1) then you can visit the best one in the country, Ken Graham's shop on Newport Pagnell High Street. (You could always order a few magazines by phone. Just tell Ken what you're looking for and he'll pick out something suitable):
