All prepared for the girl's Christmas lunch and show tomorrow......clothes warming.....nails blinged......pressies all wrapped and the taxi booked for ten thirty......

Luckily I've been gifted a beautiful L'Occitane Advent Calendar opening each door with a glass of wine in the evening....but tonight's was a puzzle....there are two doors to open....the 12th and 13th......how did I miss the 12th?
I know today is the 13th because my lunch is tomorrow....the 14th.....I know it is and I'm all prepared....

Then I looked at today's date...... :-(

Had it not been for the Advent Calendar I'd have spent £20 on a taxi to drop me at a deserted pavilion a day too early.......

Do you have a wrong date/time tale?....x

Ha!

And ooo get you with a posh advent calendar! Mini Boo wanted the Zoella one, but at £25.00 a go she wasn't getting it, she had to make do with a Cadbury's chocolate one at £2.00 and like it!
arriving for mass an hour before everyone after the clocks moved ?
I constantly get the days wrong and have to look up dates. I did once wake up in a panic at 2:45, jumped in the car to pick up the kids and got halfway there before I realised it was 1:45. I felt really sheepish turning round and driving home!

Boo...this is the first ever Advent Calendar I've had.......years and years of hinting fell on deaf ears....

This was worth waiting for...... :-)
Decadent or what Gness, L'Occitane advent calendar indeed!

I did call the friend who arranged this for us today.....I just wanted to know if everyone was still okay to travel...she thought I was being a bit early to make a decision and I thought she was leaving things far too late.....it now sounds like an old folks home conversation....just the word "tomorrow" from me would have sorted it......

Mind you....she's the friend who bought the tickets for a theatre show......gave me the date and time and we arrived a day late....

We're both considering looking at homes for the bewildered.....with a bar.....xxx
I bought my own minty... needed 5 and the deal came in pairs. I ate all.the chocolate from it in November though :-(

It's a lovely calendar....and I have stuck tomorrow's gift back behind its door...... :-)
lol Pix ... one year my ex had taken off the back and swiped the goodies..I was raging at the shop as the doors were all fixed shut..till he fessed up !
Many years ago, collecting my parents from Gatwick airport (returning from Canada), I arrived 24 hours early (dates/times on tickets were totally confusing) and had to go back the next day....120 miles round trip!

Oh that's frustrating, Ginge...when it's such a long journey!
...yes, I spent ages arguing at the airline's desk...."where's the plane" and "why is it not here" etc. Felt foolish and annoyed.

Oh Lord...that's even worse than me standing at the theatre desk asking why the car park is empty......have you not sold many tickets for tonight's show?..... :-)
No

Really? Oh you must have......x

Oh well...time enough yet.... ;-)
The day I was going up to London before traveling to BY I was in a right tizz. Time was going way too fast and I had too much to do before the taxi came to take me to the train station. The last 30 minutes was a blur as I finally got myself sorted...
I got to the station and waited patiently on the platform. The train was posted as being on time...and that time passed. No train...and not many waiting for it. Odd. I asked the gatekeeper...oh yes, it's on time. I then checked my watch...and realised I was an hour early. Aarrghh...I could have relaxed just a wee bit, and maybe not left behind a few things that I'd left to pack last...but then not packed at all. :-(
I thought it was half past four but it was really twenty past (that's the best I've got)
