when a recipe calls for a 5 qt. oval slow cooker is it ok to use a 5 qt round instead.

I have a 5 qt round slow cooker but a lot of the reciepes I see say for a 5 qt. oval. Is it ok to use my round one? What would the difference be ? In cooking time or what?

I hope you have just tried to use your round slow cooker in the last 6 months. Strictly speaking, mathematically, a circle would be a special oval, but regardless of that a slow cooker is a slow cooker, please don't worry.
