Himself has made some lemon and poppyseed cupcakes this afternoon, I've helped by doing the dishes. And by making the Last Word Cocktail which we are currently enjoying in the sun.
Tonight we're having chicken korma, made using a jar of stuff, with samosas and bhajees. Possibly followed by a sticky toffee pud, or more likely another cupcake. And gin. Again.
What's your favourite Indian meal, do you make it from scratch or use a jar or something?

You can keep the cupcakes, no offence to Ron, I just don't have a sweet tooth.

I'll happily take a cocktail or a G&T off your hands though ;-)

I tend to cook Indian food from scratch although when feeling lazy I can be drawn to Geetas sauces and another brand that is small and local to me.

My favourite Indian meal is a thali, when I can choose a selection of meat and vegetable dishes, rice and bread according to what I fancy.

Sadly most of the Indian restaurants near me are very anglicised, I much prefer authentic cooking but I have to travel to get it hence me cooking from scratch at home.

All sounds good to me Eccles, the korma was beyond bland, bleurrgh. Best part was the nibbles dipped in some very agreeable chilli jam..
Our tastes must have changed as korma used to be the Indian of choice, but I really can't see why. Oh well, something tasty next time.
Now Eccles, the cupcakes are his signature cake and are very lemony and tasty, you'd need to try them before dismissing them out of hand ;)
Bit of a disaster tonight, and far too much left over for tomorrow. Oh well, can't win 'em all... :(
Leftovers from a disappointing supper are a real bind, your heart wants to sling it in the bin but your head won't let you.

I'm giving serious consideration to knocking up a curry fest tomorrow ;-) I'm going to have some spuds and beans leftover from tonight that will be fab in a couple of samosas tomorrow. I'm starting to drool just thinking about it, what to have for main though and what are the chances of me convincing Mr Cake to eat some okra?

When it comes to Indians I tend to go for starters.

Ok, you convinced me, I'm on my way over for tomorrow nights curry fest. I'll bring cupcakes ;). And gin. Leave out the okra though, far too slimey.

Ummm, when it comes to Indian I'll go for anything that's not korma.
We have poppadoms & relish (thing 1 loves the really hot red stuff), a mountain of naans, pilau rice, Bombay potatoes, chips, chicken madras (for me and himself) and the kids are currently on chicken kormas. I really fancy a curry now :(

Hmmmm, samosas and maybe some onion bhajis, to start.

I have a lump of lamb in the freezer so I might knock up a pasanda.

There are some green beans lurking in the fridge so I might do them in a Gujerati style with mustard seeds, rice will be fairly simple but with a touch of spice. I'm not making naan for just two of us (unless Ethandron confirm their attendance) so I might drag myself off to the local Asian grocer for a decent premade naan, a variety of chutneys and salads will be served on the side.

Tonight's supper is growing less and less appealing as I think of tomorrows myriad of flavours. Yum!!!!
By the way, I don't make it - the Indian restaurant we go to is excellent and opens just early enough for the kids to eat at a decent time. It's girl's birthday in two weeks so hopefully she will choose curry as her birthday meal out.
