Boston butt or pork butt is the American name for a cut of pork that comes from the upper part of the shoulder from the front leg and may contain the blade bone.[1] Boston butt is the most common cut used for pulled pork, a staple of barbecue in the southern United States.

Well, it won't fit in the slow cooker will it? Not a 2 kilo piece. Not unless you have an extremely big, slow cooker.

I would roast it in the oven like any other joint.

Never heard of pork butt either. Is it the pigs bottom?
GranddadG says best way will probably be to roast it
Not its bottom then, Granny? Thanks.
Is this where we say 'yum yum pig's bum' like we did as children?
How much was it?

thanks

but its not like a roast with a layer of fat around it , where i can roast it and get crackling, it is more like this in the link below with hardly any fat .

You could still cook it like the recipe but skip the crackling stages and keep it covered in foil.
