nothing beats or compares to the flavour of KFC IMO jackdaw33
£5.99 suits me fine as a treat-don't have it that often & night off from the kicthen too - bonus lol
What amazes me is that when I was a child chicken was a luxury. We only had it once a year at Easter, or if special guests were coming to dinner. Now it is not only as cheap as chips, it is cheaper than chips.
No Thanks!
My local KFC is no better than any of the numerous 'fried chicken' shops in the area.
The standard has dropped, taste gone... no longer a special treat.
But I remember the days when it was the tastiest take-away!
I had one meal of KFC about forty years ago. I still wonder to this day whether the meat (if indeed it was meat) that I ate was from an animal that ever moved under its own power. It seemed to consist entirely of skin, bone and sinews.
Sorry, jack, enjoy your dinner, but KFC is not for me.
Agree with mastercraft. I remember when KFC first appeared it tasted really delicious. the batter really did have a secret flavour unlike anything else and was light and fluffy. that taste does not exist anymore.
Jackdaw: Just how much is nine pieces of chicken? I can buy a whole one ready cooked from the supermarket for less than that.
A ready cooked chicken is about 5.99 and they cover it in a sugar marinade and it doesn't taste like a proper roast! I cant believe how a nice thoughtful post from Jack Daniels has been attacked by the food police! dont reply on it if you dont like KFC easy!
