Hi,

I have a microwave that has stopped heating food. The inside dish rotates as normal and the microwave starts up but fails to heat any food up the bulb works fine. I Cannot get inside it as it has special star screws but they also have a dot in the middle as I did have a star adapter.

Do I get rid and buy a new one rather than paying to get it fixed cost me £50 5 years ago or is this an easy fix?

Thanks

Get a new one.
Not worth buying another really. we just went out and bought a new one.
Problems solved.
Just before you replace it check that another person has not put the control to a low ( defrost ) setting, rendering the microwave almost useless. That's what happened to me.
I don't think it owes you anything, throw it in the bin and buy a new one,it would probably cost as much to get it repaired as it did to buy it,
Please don't try to "get inside of it"... the high voltage capacitor can be deadly unless it's discharged properly. Not for the inexperienced...
