I'm not sure that 'showing off' is the motive - it's probably more a case of physical comfort in hot weather. Giving feet access to circulating air helps keep the body cool, and women being generally more fastidious than men, coolness and attendent hygene are an important issue in warm weather. Women enjoy accessorising their appearence, so nail polish adds to the attractive appearence of female feet. I think it's comfort first, appearence second, and 'showing off' not at all - maybe the lady visitors would like to confirm or deny my theory.
Correct answer, Andy, but what a strange question . . . do you have a problem with this phenomenon, tazy4683?

No it doesnt bother me, just find it strange at times. But thanks for the insight on it. Accesorise as well would be like when i went to a dance night with friends some of the girls had blisters on their feet and were complaining about it cauzed by the shoes and think the reason they buy the shgoes is accesorised to but the pain they go thru is like mad lol.
Yes, but it's an occupational hazard of being a woman ... and after all, who cares about blistered feet if you're wearing lovely spiky heels :-)
Very true, Ravenhair, beauty has its price after all. Keep the faith, and your spike heels.......I'm sure you attract hoards of admirers only too happy to apply the peppermint foot lotion for you!
