What do yours consist of?

For us it's

Smoked back bacon
Black pudding
Thin pork sausage (from the local butcher)
Fried crispy potatoes
Baked Beans (only Branston will do)
Fried egg (from next door's hens)
Slice of toast

We usually have this once a fortnight for dinner

Come round tomorrow night sandy and you can join us for dinner :o)
Sounds good, mazie!

Mr P's Granny always does us a cooked breakfast when we go to visit.

Unsmoked Ayrshire bacon
Stornoway Black pudding
Fruit pudding
duck and bantie eggs
beef sausages
fried tomato

I feel the need to visit her soon...
I'd swap the beans for grilled or tinned toms & the toast for fried bread (in lard), otherwise that's a heavenly dish, I'm lucky if I get it every 2mths or so:-(

2sp...I just love Duck eggs... What's fruit pudding?
has to be square sliced sausages !
It changes.

Bacon, sausage, fried eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried potatoes, beans, black pudding now and then....bread and butter.

I'm not a fan of the meat in a fry up and I'm ashamed to say that the cheaper the meat the more I like it. Still don't eat much of it though...
Wouldnt like to miss out the mushrooms with mine

I like to mush up the egg and the beans together and scoop the mess onto the toast.
mazie if i bring a chair can i squeeze in to xx

The old man prefers grilled toms carrust.. so sometimes I compromise. My Granny used to make fried bread with the fat that came out of the bacon she fried, that was nice
I forgot tomato sausage & mushrooms.
I haven't seen them yet - but my local Spar - good wee bit away - in the morning they do a Fry for £1 -

Course you can cuddles x.
My Sis is like you ummmm, she doesn't like proper sausages, she loves the cheap one with not much proper meat in them. I love mushrooms but the old man's not keen so I dont usually bother :o(
Any of the above would suit me down to the ground, but you all seem to have missed out the slice of lambs liver.
drool

Thanks sp, I'll look out for that the next time I'm up
yummy as JJ would say
Question Author
Love lambs liver but not on a fry up.
my sister likes lambs liver - how do you cook it - i have never had it in my life. err it has to be tender
Question Author
£1....for a fry up seems really cheap jenny. I soak my lambs liver in milk for about an hour. Dry it off on kitchen paper, fry it in butter for a couple of minutes each side (depending on thickness)
