Do you use any short cuts that you are ashamed of?
My aunt always sprayed the radiators with furniture polish just before uncle came home. He was convinced she spent hours every day doing housework.

Mine is gravy. I cook a fab roast dinner but no matter how I try I can't make decent gravy. It is usually greasy or tasteless. I buy too expensive fresh gravy and add a splash of something - Madeira in chicken gravy, a deep red wine in beef gravy, chopped mint in lamb.

Bisto is fine for sausage and mash or a pork chop but not for a Sunday roast!

Thats smart!
Nope - if I did, I wouldn't be ashamed of them. My life is full of short cuts - as they say, life is too short to stuff a mushroom.
A tip I learned when I was chambermaiding in the Old Ship Hotel in Brighton, if no time to hoover the carpets, mop it in big stokes and hapazardly, it looks like a hoover has been over it. Mind you this doesn't work if there are bits and pieces all over it.
If I am in a hurry, I wash my shoes in the sink usually Crocs and put them on wet, sorted!
Snap hc4361. I often use M&S gravies and tart them up by adding other ingredients.

I recently bought some cheap hummus, sprinkled the top with some olive oil & paprika and passed it off as home made
If I've been super lazy I clean the front door with dettol so when he comes in from work he thinks I've been busy cleaning :-)

Problem with this is I was telling someone on facebook and left the page open and he read it. Bummer...
