I've not got much of an appetite but just made myself a bowl of chicken soup, bit cliché but hey :)

Also got some Ben & Jerry's Phish Food in the freezer, bit of an impulse buy as don't ever tend to buy ice cream, usually ice lollies for a more guilt free snack attack, but it was calling to me from the freezer cabinet. Am thinking a bit of that for the Great British Bake Off.

I can't eat when I'm poorly.
Yes, chicken soup with bread and butter
i don't really have anything for "comfort" if i'm not feeling well, it usually makes me not want to eat. If something special is needed, i like Marks and spencer filo wrapped jumbo prawns, followed by marks and spencer pecan pie
ps i don't like ice cream - i must be very strange
Chicken broth here, or pea and ham soup.
I think if you have not much of an appetite you are going the right way about it Eve,just whatever takes your fancy that you will enjoy eating.

I don't feel very hungry but need something to keep me going. At least the steroid munchies have been held at bay a bit though back on steroid tablets so expecting random snack cravings are imminent.

I don't usually go for ice cream either. Not that I don't like it, I just don't usually buy it for home. I hope it's nice though at least it was on offer in Tesco so not as expensive as usual.

Those filo prawns and pecan pie sound lovely!
Cant beat a tasty soup when you are feeling worse for wear...but when I was little my mum used to give me hot buttered toast with sugar on it ! Odd. I've also heard someone who used to have grated raw apple with sugar on it when they were poorly.
Pastina (Italian chicken broth with tiny pasta shapes) every time. That stuff would bring you out of a coma! ;)

Hope you feel better Eve xx
Hope you feel well soon, Eve. x
Oh has to be Heinz tomato soup and crusty bread.
A bowl of french onion soup

Peanut & marmite sarny, my lazy food
Fried egg on toast is my choice of comfort food.

Thank you, hopefully the antibiotics and steroids will kick in soon - a duff immune system and being surrounded by sick colleagues was never going to end well!

That sounds lovely Vodka! Can't beat a lovely soup.

Butcherhog, that is so what I need right now! I handily live right by Manchester's Curry Mile, however, the one time I tried a vindaloo there I ended up with my tongue stuck in a glass of water, much to my ex's amusement (and mine to be fair :)) - in a window seat too! Not tried one since :)

Don't eat when I'm sick - if I've had a ropey tummy then I usually start off with something like marmite and toast once I start eating again properly to ease back in to normal eating.

Mmmm...I've not had mashed potato for ages!

I can't eat fried egg on its own but if it's really cold and I'm really tired at work I have the occasional sausage and egg barm, lovely!

I love marmite too, especially with ait of butter (big treat) or spread on water biscuits or cream crackers.
