Does anyone eat this?

I've had some in my fridge for a few weeks, but not had any gentlemen over, obviously.

When the BF is here, I try to encourage him to behave not at all like a gentleman, he he ...

:0/

Anyway, I had a bit this evening. It is SO salty and anchovy-y ... !!

Who would eat it regularly??

Oo, saucy!

It's like anchovy flavoured toothpaste.
There's something fishy about the taste of the gentlemen from the early 19th Century who relished that.

It normally comes in little white plastic pots, called Patum something or other.

I have a huge china jar from Fortnums. Can't really remember why I bought it.
You were hoping that the world was full of gentlemen!
Question Author
Possibly.
Yes. Note the inscription on the jar. It reads something like "spread sparingly" ! Good advice. You can have too much salty anchovy, you know.
Ah, the above, I've noticed, has come too late for Jayne !
