Has anyone got a good tasty receipt for quorn shepherds pie or hotpot. I tried it once but it didn't have any flavour at all. I have used quorn in other receipes like chilli and bolognais. Any suggestions anyone. Thanks.

Yes, you just need to replace the Quorn for real meat!

'Thirded' here. Don't bother. It will be tasteless.
We are having cottage pie tonight, made with minced beef. It will be lovely!
Fry chopped onion, add 2 teaspoons ground cumin, depending on how much quorn add some beef cube stock, black pepper, then stir in quorn.
Quorn absorbs water so may need to add more water or red wine. Simmer for a few mins.
My topping is potato slices boiled for 5 mins. Put quorn in oven proof dish, top with the potato slices, then blitz a slice of toast in food processor, mix with melted butter, sprinkle over potatoes, bake for 30 mins oven 190C/ gas 5.
Mt husband hasn't a clue he is not eating meat.
I use Quorn for vegetarian lasagne and always put a great dollop of Marmite in when I'm cooking it initially with the onions, garlic and tomatoes. Even the non-veggies love it - but I think the white sauce, and the grated cheese on top also help to disguise the Quorn. I never use it for anything else. It needs heavy disguise. It not only lacks flavour, but also lacks the texture of meat.
The texture of Quorn is vile. We used it once for Chilli - never again!
