I still have my school badge which I've had since I was eleven. It's a phoenix rising, with rays of light behind it and the motto is Ad Lucem. I have it pinned on the outside of my very old pencil case.

Last week, one of the lads at college, having looked at the badge, said,'Miss, were you in the SAS?'

I said, 'Yes', just to shut him up.

Ordnance Corps?
Ordnance Corps ?, I also had a prefect badge in secondary school Tilly. The school policy was that if you stayed on for the fifth year ( you could leave school at the end of forth year in my day ) then you automatically became a prefect, the head removed mine after week one :-( ( I made school history lol.).
Question Author
The Ordnance corps provide everything the army needs, including milk.
It was a joke that didn't go down too well.

Why did you have your prefect badge taken away? Smoking in the bike sheds. or something much worse?
^ was that an approved school soul boy? x
He ( the head ) said I was abusing the position Tilly lol[i, put it this way, the one week that I was a prefect I didn't have to buy any fags !.

Well you know how it was sloopy lol. Also in the fifth year you didn't have to wear school uniform, so I used to wear Doc Martins ( ox blood red ) turned up Levis, Ben Sherman shirts and an Harrington jacket, the head didn't like that either lol.
