Freezing cabbage

I have been given quite a lot of sweetheart cabbageand wondered about freezing some of it.Has anyone done this,and should I blanch it first.

Yes, I blanch it for about 2 minutes, drain well and leave to cool.

I freeze it in plastic bags, in 2 person servings.

To cook, I bodge a hole in the bag and microwave for 2 or 3 minutes
