The price for mixers has always been scandalous.
I think you were fleeced
That's a baaaad price...
why didn't you lambast the landlord about his overcharging?
Scandalous. Find a new local.
Or drink something else.
no, it stop people going to pub, soft drinks are a rip off. 3.75 for a pint of bitter shandy in one of our locals.
Shandy's, in my vast experience, have always been charged at the same price as the pint of beer/lager.

Bottled mixers have always been over priced.
seeing as it's more lemonade than beer, it's a bloody disgrace. But beer is overpriced at any rate. One local charges 4 quid for a lager, and it's awful.
Which is why so many pubs are closing down.
wooley.. you hit nail on head £1.95 i was charged for a tin of coke ist time and last
Agree with ummmm, they have always charged ridiculous prices for mixers. Even the price of a glass of coke is just silly.
Tap water...free. If you must drink sugary soft drinks be prepared to pay disgusting prices for them. They have to make money somehow!
They don't have to give tap water for free. You're using their premises, electricity, staff, dishwasher...etc.

The price of mixers is dictated by the suppliers.

Not sure about other pubs but we sold soda water for 20p a glass.
Legally they can't charge for tapwater - but they don't have to let you freeload on their premises and use their loos ....
Not you ummmm - just a general point - people should think of the cost of soft drinks as 'the price of admission to our premises and facilities' ... comparing with supermarkets etc is specious
They can't charge for the water, they can charge for service, the glass and ice though (although in practice most pubs will give you tap water free)

Mixers and soft drinks are where most pubs make most of their profits, don't blame the pubs for that, blame the breweries.
ummmm, I have an evening out every week with my girlfriends and as I drive only drink lime and soda.....the pub charges £1.20!!!!
My local charges 50p for a lime and soda.
Used to charge 30p for a lime and soda in the pub I worked in, the lime was 30p, the soda was free.
