Roasted peanuts

when you eat peanuts that have been roasted in thier shells are you meant to eat the dark flaky covering of each nut (not the shell, but the stuff round the peanut)

The latest findings about peanuts show that they contain resveratrol--a phytochemical (also found in red wine and grape juice) that is associated with a lowered risk of heart disease. The red skin found on Spanish peanuts is a concentrated source of resveratrol. (From Whole Health, md)
