If you have money to spare, you could hire an inflatable jousting game thingy - google it to find local suppliers.  Otherwise, just go round beating up the welsh - i mean dragons!  OOPS! :-p

A first of the season barbeque with lots of hand-held meat cuts would probably do food-wise. Chicken legs, chops etc. (Pre-cook in the oven if necessary).

Wash it down with a good few pegs of ale and have plenty of wenches on hand.

They wouldnt have had lollo rosso lettuce or mange tout flown in from Kenya, so a few hearty roast root vegetables (potatoes, parsnips etc and roast carrots are lovely) (yes, I know they didnt have potatoes until the 17th (?) century, but thats not the point).

Mead is probably a bit of an aquired taste, besides, you will not have enough time to ferment your honey, so if its a particularly chilly April evening, something along the lines of mulled wine may go down well.- in fact treat it a bit like a Bonfire Night party - with hearty fare for a (probably) chilly evening.

Cant really help you with games, but following on from acws suggestion, you could try Run Away From The Welsh, or one of the great Crusader games such as Raze Constantinople. Failing that, perhaps acw could find out what they do for St Georges day in Moscow, Georgia, Aragon, Barcelona, Bavaria, Beirut, Czechoslovakia, Serbia, Lithuania and Hungary, since they also share the same patron saint!

(At least Dewi Sant [St.David] was actually Welsh !!)    ;o)

Slay a few Dragons!!
