i would like to know how to prepare creme brulee

and for the chocoholics amongst us, there is a chocolate brulee link towards the bottom of the page..

Heat half a pint of double cream until it boils, then add it to 2 egg yolks that have been beaten with 1 dessert spoon of caster sugar. Strain back into to the saucepan, heat again briefly and then pour into ramekins or similar. Chill for a couple of hours until firm, sprinkle the tops with demerara sugar, and caramelize with a gas torch. You can add flavourings of your choice...
