Just watching Man v Food and they are talking about gravy - it looks disgusting, some sort of grey, thick sauce. What is it? Thanks

I don't do eggs or gravy so I'm not even looking.
Gravy with rice? (swoons gracefully onto the chaise longue)
Errr...what's the problem? If you don't have Bisto...you would make a roux and mix with your meat juices...yes?

Egg gravy does sound very weird,though.....
Bisto is banned in my kitchen.
I LOVE Man v Food, how does he eat so much?! and really spicy things too..
One popular breakfast in america is biscuits with sausage gravy - their biscuits are more like an unsweetened scone, you fry the sausages unil the fat comes out, mix it to a roux with flour and then add milk to make what we call a white sauce.
Man vs Food, it's the toilet I feel sorry for.
