What is it?
Surely it's personal taste rather than something that has to have a 'point' (?)

No it's not deer it's salmon. Tut.
Gravlax,
Is a salt cured fish, as appossed to the other style of smoking, it's away of preserving and a form of chemical cooking, you can do it with white and pink-red fish, but firm oily fish is better as it doesn't break down with the salt.

So in a nut shell it raw salted fish and it tast very nice.

no i love it, my fave salmon dish
I tried it once thinking it was salmon, and only reading the packet when I got home. Didn't seem that different to salmon to be honest, not sure what I was supposed to notice.

If it is a preserving process then why change the name of the product ?
