We love Pimms No/1 and have consumed quite a bit during the warm weather but it does work out expensive at £16.00 a bottle.
Does anyone know of a substitute that is more or less the same but cheaper? or perhaps a recipe I could make myself.?

Thankyou

I don`t know off the top of my head but a friend of mine has a supermarket own brand substitute in her fridge which she says is just as nice. As the receipe is supposed to be secret I suppose they`ll never be anything exactly the same.
And people drink that by the pint!!??
Jem .. Do you have a Morrisons near to you? Pimms is on offer at the moment for 9.50 !! http://forums.moneysa...wthread.php?t=3322238
google on homemades pimms there are loads of recipes......happy tasting (hic)
On offer at Co op at a tenner if any good to you?
Austin's Summer Drink. It's about 1/3rd the price of Pimms and tastes virtually indistinguishable. You can sometimes get it at Aldi...
Only last week a friend was saying something similar and she said that Tesco (and others?) stock a drink called Jeeves which tastes just like Pimms and is half the price :-)

I've heard that Sainsburys do their own version which is exactly the same taste.
Think Aldi's do their own version. I love Pimms, nothing better on a summers day
We make our Pimms with Lambrusco - not cheaper, but much tastier!
