If my cousin (male) has a child (boy), does that mean that child is my cousin once removed, and what am I to him ?

Yes, you are and you're his first cousin once removed.
You can both refer to each other as 'my cousin once removed'.
In your case, he is one generation 'down'; in his, you are one generation 'up'.
I thought it would mean the child is your second cousin
In this case, if bond has children then they will be second cousin's with bond's cousin child.
I had this question once.

My cousin's son is my cousin once removed, because we're still cousins but a generation apart.

*His* daughter is my cousin twice removed.

My son and my cousin's son are of the same generation, and are therefore second cousins.
