Someone I work with has anounced he's to become a great great grandad. As his mum is still alive this obviously adds another great to the equation. TBH I've never heard of anyone getting to this generation. Has anyone else heard of this happening?

I said it was unlikely NOT impossible..............I've already done the 'generational age thing' but to have a man of *working age* (not a 69 year-old gran) is unusual.

Perhaps we'll have to wait for Booldawg to get back to us on this.
Depending on who he works for,and the job he does, there is no reason why he should not still be working. People in their late to mid 60's do not automatically end up on the scrap heap!!
And a 69 year old gran can still be working.
I remember when this was on...seems the partners were equally young.......and it is not a new thing in certain parts of the population.
