Don't generalise most men couldn't calculate a bet mentally and even with machines (computers) betting shop staff can rarely tell you how result was achieved.
I'm female and CAN work out a bet.

eihpos - I'm a beginner and have tried to look up how to calculate winnings. So

�3 e/w at 11/1 = would I win 1/4 of �3 ie 75p x 11? So win �8.25 less �6 total bet = �2.25 profit
