I've had a headache for the last three days and today I have a stabbing pain in my left eye which comes and goes. I got a new memory foam pillow at the weekend, could my headaches be due to this?

Very unlikely.

I found something saying migraines can give you a pain behind one eye, do you think it is that?
caji, I think that migraine is the most likely diagnosis. Do you suffer from, do you have any past history of headaches and how old you?
Sounds like migraine to me too.
Go and lie down in a darkened room and take some painkillers and drink lots of water.

I'm 24. I used to have headaches but nothing that lasted days or gave me a pain in the eye.
Yes caj1 I agree with eash. Migrain can last for 3days and can certainly give pain in the eye. Try simple analgesics first and if this doesn't work, you will need something stronger.
Question Author
I'd love to eash but I'm at work. Have had to make do with taking paracetamol! I'll try drinking some water too
Oh no not good. Maybe try and leave early, if possible. Paracetamol should help a little, it's better than nothing anyway. Hope you feel better soon. :-)
I get Sinus headaches and pain behind my eye. You could try Sinutabs?
Question Author
I need something! I think I'll pop into Superdrug on my way home :o(
How's your head?

Could be a bit of a virus going round. How's your temperature and glands?

I've just got over it and had a horrible headache for a few days with intermittent stabbing pains so could be something like that.

Does it clear up with normal paracetamol?

If there are no other symptoms or any to do with your vision, speech, weakness etc...(in which case see someone urgently) and it keeps going then get it checked out.

Seem to be a bit better this morning! And have good painkillers if it comes back
I find that sleeping on too high a pillow can give me sinus problems thus resulting in headaches/migraines. Also the heater in the bedroom cant have it on too high
it sounds like a migraine to me, too.

but... the new pillow could have triggered it. there may be something in the manufacturing process that just doesn't work for you.
do you feel quite bunged up because this new pillow may not let you beath the way your body is used to
Question Author
No, my sinuses seem fine, I'm not bunged up at all
